JLL Annual Report

In 1931, 19 young, driven, forward-thinking women came together with the common desire to contribute to the social, civic and cultural projects here in the Lansing community. Since then, the Junior League of Lansing, Michigan has been developing women into civic leaders with the know-how to achieve great community impact.

Our 300+ members come together from all areas of the Greater Lansing community and range in age from 21 to 95 years young. Every year we welcome new members who have a passion for voluntarism, regardless of race, age, religion or national origin.

The Junior League of Lansing’s membership in the Association of Junior Leagues International allows us to be part of a global, dynamic, powerful group of 150,000 women in 292 Leagues, spanning four countries. Together, we make up one of the largest, most effective volunteer organizations in the world.

The Junior League’s longevity and successful impact comes from each League’s ability to provide local solutions for their community’s most pressing needs, just like the Junior League of Lansing has done for more than 90 years; our members have been working tirelessly to develop the potential of women leaders, promote voluntarism and improve the Lansing community in meaningful ways.
